Hi everyone. I need advice regarding visits to hills, Gorenjska area. I'm searching and googling but can't find my way around too well. Looking for ascents around Gorenjska where there's not much crowding, people, animals. Building stamina for a jump in springtime to some higher mountains. Let me mention that last year I went almost every day at least to Sv Peter, Jošt, Roblek was also in between. It was great for clearing my head, stretching after work. Problem is Sv Peter, Jošt, Talež have become so popular that you literally constantly step aside or walk in a line to the top, which is no longer to my liking at all. Other issue are loose dogs and their owners. Apologizing in advance to all those dog owners, but it's really not pleasant when a big beast flies at you from around the corner, without owner control, you politely ask owner to leash the dog, then he starts cursing you in the middle of the hills that we're in non-urban environment and won't leash the dog. Yeah, unfortunately there's more and more of it. I'm one of those who experienced a dog attack (so I still have quite some fear about it) and consequently my little dog experienced a dog attack, with whom we're now trying to get rid of the fear. I always have the little dog leashed (she was even before the attack), we have huge problems when meeting an unleashed dog and there are lots of them lately on Sv Peter, Jošt and similar routes. Last ascent to Sv. Peter ended just as tragically, because a dog flew by (owner was almost at the hill top) and literally appeared in front of my granddaughter who got scared of course and now doesn't want to go to that place anymore. So.. can someone advise some ascent where I can sweat it out, take my little dog peacefully along, relax at the same time? Where few people and passable also in winter? I know such ascents exist, just don't know them myself unfortunately  shame to do daily walks only in various forests and macadam roads when there's so much nice hilly terrain in Gorenjska.

I advise you to get rid of the fear. Once that villain gets you in its clutches, it rides you constantly. Nothing would help, even if they abolished all dogs of this world, the fear would find another target to torment you with it.

starting point Javorniški rovt planina Stamare, Bavhe, Kamnitnik, Pusti rovt
Povlje-Mala and Velika poljana
Kokra-Javorov vrh
Preddvor- Potoška gora
Štefanja gora-Krvavec over Davovec
Kropa-Vodiška planina
