From Smrečje (above Vrhnika) we walked today to the top of Holy Three Kings. There was about 10 cm of snow today. Nice view from the top to the Julian Alps, as shown by the attached photo.

Time to visit the far northern end of our municipality and in my humble opinion the best viewpoint of the municipality: Peak of Holy Three Kings; 884m. Trail well marked, not strenuous and suitable even for the youngest. Start a bit outside the hamlet Osredek (from Rovt direction). Initial part of the trail follows asphalt road, but soon (after ca. 10 min.) turns to footpath and forest trail. Joins asphalt road again few minutes before the top. Along the way you can detour to see the giant linden tree, 27m high and 4.17m circumference, one of the largest in this part of Slovenia. Just below the top there's entrance to Rupnik Line tunnel and karst cave; mind your head! At the top, where there was no wind for a change, the view most often stops at the panorama of the Julians. It makes me sad these days: such nice weather, so close in a way, but so distant!! Otherwise in nice weather you see: - S: to Snežnik - E-NE: whole KSA - N: from Kanin to Rjavina and main Karavanke trio: Stol, Vrtača, Begunjščica - W: Javorniki, Golaki

In picture 18 the right neighbor of Krna is not Bavški Grintavec, more likely it's Vrh nad Peski. I found my photo from two years ago where the mountain shape is recognizable. Maybe someone else recognizes the mountain.

You are right, that's Vrh nad Peski. Bavški Grintavec is indeed a bit higher, but also much further in the background; from this height it can't be seen.

Today's afternoon jump from Rovt to the Peak of Holy Three Kings. Some new markings + option to do part of the hike on easier or steeper path. Best is circular. Along the path already full of teloh and some cowslips, snowdrops in lower parts. E.g. in Logatec they are in full bloom and everywhere...
