Just when I think Hribi.net can't get any better than it is, these guys (and girls?) surprise me again - this time with the added private messages section, which is much more than you could guess from the title alone. Congratulations!nasmeh

All praise to namesake Rok who takes such good care of the forum! The addition for personal chats works indeed.

Don't complicate too much! Mountains are just one, man is only one, activities in mountains are numerous and all fit into the context of hribi net forum. On mountains-people say that everything we see and experience in mountains is genuine there for description and not just short dry path descriptions that most often don't even tell the essence of conditions, events, difficulties etc. I think that this part of descriptions would give the forum the spiritual note of mountaineering (spirit of mountains) and authenticity, because of which we all like to go to mountains so much. Add a symbol for recognition of ascent type (skier, snowflake, piton...) and it will be fine.

this forum is super for me!!!smilecool; not just as directions for the path or to remember where else we could go; I already enjoy the beautiful pictures, descriptions; it means a lot to me, especially when occasionally I can't manage bigger efforts and I'm at home, but this way I'm in my beloved mountains; otherwise I'm a hiker (Sunday), but I won't rush into some tough ascent or through Wisiak gully unless I check well in advance what the path is like. And I find that out on this forum; if not described enough, I ask - here at least I can ask and get answers from experience-practice, books-guides don't answer; just rushing headlong like that, not to say childish, then again we're not "hikers"; Thanks and congratulations to the team that devotes its free time to us and takes care and successfully manages this forum; keep it upwink

The point is that for any ascent on this otherwise excellent forum, not enough is reported. Especially the description that Solido mentions should be better described regarding conditions on the path. Whether the section is separate or not doesn't matter, because it can already be kitschy. Important is the mountaineer's message.

Oh people, don't try to turn this portal (and forum) into another one in the style of "gore-ljudje" or the official PZS page. Fans of dry descriptions of all kinds of alpine ascents and the like, and "highly professional climbing" conversations surely have enough options there. All the rest of us ordinary mortals who like to go to the mountains have found here, unlike those places above, exactly what the "average broad masses" need, and I'll be very happy if it stays that way.

Some complicate too much. Forum is super and I think everyone who likes mountains
can find something for themselves here. I don't go through Wisiak gully either. Probably everyone can assess their abilities and wishes.

This net is excellent, please everyone, don't divide it into walkers, hikers and alpinists. Let it remain for all. For example the Wisiak gully, the one who doesn't do alpinism won't even find it. If interested they'll soon learn how serious the approach is, that's what I think. For myself I can say I'd still be searching for the entrance to Pihavec from the south side if I hadn't found it right here on the forum. Basically everyone describes the course and dangers of the path or route quite well, especially the "triglavski" very useful descriptions.

When I watch these climbers on the wall without ropes it amazes me a bit, they are accustomed to rock and sensations to the finest detail. I watched a video titled Dan Osman, No ropes, Sin Cuerdas, free Solo

Hi! I'm curious if anyone knows which mountain or hill (and if it's even in Slovenia) is in the ad for Zlatorog pride transversal???!!! there where some little guy stands on a plateau with incredible view, next to it a box with stamp. I'd really be glad if someone tells me because I'd like to stand there myself. Thanks for reply and happy trails to all hill walkers!!!!!!!!!!!

True. I never cared about that! They should ban it! But anyway I'm closer to the answer. What do you know which one is it? And sure you can get there on foot too right?!
