We park (7:30) on the left bank of Savinja a few 100m before the brewery. First target point is ascent along the ridge to Hum. Two years ago during 14-day spa rehabilitation I watched the steep hill above the castle. I set myself a goal: Upon successful rehab, climb the ridge to Hum. Meanwhile I visited many higher peaks, but the promise remained unfulfilled until today…
From parking we ascend, a bit our way and a bit on path. We reach Blaževa skala. Soon after at two wooden signs (LEFT – DIVJI FAROŠ / RIGHT - HUM). Left looks wilder and we go LEFT. A bit strange that from such arranged path we get to quite demanding one. Carved into steepness, caution needed not to slide down to Savinja. Reach rocks and think this is it.. (Divji faroš). Path only down to Savinja so decide to go straight up. Soon in rocks (ridge), happily scramble pathless up. A bit slippery, but ok…
Reach marked – VIEWPOINT PRIŽNICA. Continue on ridge and finally reach: DIVJI FAROVŠ….Not quite clear zmeden

…, no arguing. Continue on ridge. Vegetation helps and at (8:55) reach summit - Hum 583m. Completely our way.
Continue on nice ridge to second target (Tolsti vrh 834m). Marks are like…? Where needed to turn, we didn't notice. Found way anyway, but strange if we missed or none at key spots…? Follow a while, lose them, go our way…Tolsti vrh so visible no problem. Before summit join marked from Svetina via steep meadow. No stop at Celjska hut. Hurry to pick wild garlic, abundant before Hudičev graben entry. Picked plenty!
After Hudičev graben, arranged ride waits at Zagrada asphalt back to start in Laško. Of course repay cool

with bag of wild garlic to friendly lady who drives us back to parked car in Laško.
Total cca. 15km and 6hrs pleasant relaxed walk in nice weather. velik nasmeh

The central point of our jaunt was Hum above Laško, to it we came a bit differently than described in the original topic. We started namely in the village Tremerje, headed in direction Vipote and further towards Tolsti vrh. Already before it we left the ridge, descended towards village Doblatina and continued towards Hum. Here we were first time and I can say the hill is just perfect nasmeh

We descended to the old part of Laško and on the opposite side of Savinja headed to Rečiška pot all the way to Dom na Šmohorju. Followed a longer break, then continuation towards Tremerje. In between we left the marked path and hiked also Mali Slomnik. To the starting point it wasn't far anymore and soon we finished the loop.

Coordinates of starting point (Tremerje): 46.1953981N, 15.2306547E

We drive into the public parking lot on the edge of Tremerje village.

Along the lower gravel road we head towards the Hochkraut inn.

There we seek the direction to Vipota. First we cross the bridge over the Savinja.

Under the railway there is much that is new, probably due to last year's floods.

Behind the treatment plant we turn into the forest and soon encounter a very special marker :)

Here no prayer helps us, we are forced to climb over the fallen giants.

Marker of another sort, something similar I have not yet encountered.

Balm for the soul and eyes. Resje still blooms richly.

Walking among blooming cushions is a real pleasure :)

It turns towards Celjska koča, but we stick to the ridge towards Tolsti.

At the marked place we turn downhill towards Doblatina.

The track to the village is torn up from logging, so only the meadow remains for us.

Doblatina is an older and fairly isolated settlement.

Its northern part is already visible in the valley.

This, however, is Hum, the upright peak above Laško. From this side it is much gentler than from the opposite.

Carpets of resje also lead to it, only not as abundant as around Vipota and Srebotnik.

Over steep passages diligent hands have arranged proper steps.

There are surprisingly quite a few steel cables. The path is really well secured.

Summit with direction sign, which also serves as a table for snacks :)

Quite unusual cross for our conditions. Such ones I'm more accustomed to abroad.

We are on the well-known path hiked many times before.

It is part of the Rečiška circular trail, or a nice access to Dom na Šmohorju.

Another of the special signposts. Towards Tremerje one could turn earlier, but we go to the house.

The main room is full, so some of us gather in the side room. We are served quickly.

A few hundred meters we return back, then we turn towards the starting point.

The path has no special features, in between we also cross Mali Slomnik.

We join the main road at the old mill rebuilt several times.

We are already at the destination. In the morning we were alone, now quite a few cars are parked.

Walked path. 24 km and 1400 m elevation gain accumulated.

Nice, but you could easily add some nearby peak, e.g. Tolsti vrh, Borovec or Malič. mežikanje

Could, but for long no priority ascent every hill by path, but exploring places we walk through nasmeh

. As regulars here, mentioned hills usually visit in some other variant.

Today by "chance" conditions did hike to this prominent peak above Laško. Already when approaching Laško from Celje side the steep cliffs of north side appear.
Did classic path, but parked at Three Lilies and before/after ascent walked old town center.
Path otherwise not much marked, but easy to follow as well trodden. Last part quite steep. On descent in bad weather can be "lively", so good there are wire ropes.
