Hello!
I'll spend the holidays in Čezsoča. But so that I don't just ski all day, I'm wondering if anyone knows an interesting ascent around there. The tour shouldn't be longer than 5 hours.
Thanks for replies!

Does anyone know this peak? Or has been there. It's not exactly high.

The path is/isn't as written, but for masters of your caliber no problems, nor extension to Ravelnik and beyond.

Anka, that's how it is, in life you don't always get what you want.
But you get what you need wrote an unknown author. Yesterday our tour was quite demanding. Mainly due to slippery paths. Just because of paths that no longer exist, which is a shame because they used to be, we turned back a little before the larger cavern, when we went correctly on the upper path that leads to the rockfall. And descended to the road and at the fork turned towards Humčič summit. Then to the other side to view caverns. Since we planned to go circular through Slatenik valley we had to go to the summit once more and then descend to the path going to Javoršček. We found the branch-off which isn't very visible. Need to have navigation. Further there were some cairns to help. Because lots of leaves cover the path. Below the summit there are shooting trenches. We walked right by them. At the cavern below the summit there's a memorial plaque to the fallen in WWII.
Local from Bovec who helped us with advice said they found human skeleton in that cavern probably from WWII. Apparently a shepherd was shot because he betrayed. On descent we met in Bovec for coffee in pleasant chat. Much easier if you get at least some useful tips for the tour. Where we turned he said two slipped a few years ago. Quite steep terrain. And caution is never superfluous. Overall the tour was nice, interesting though in shade. With beautiful views on snow-covered Kanin range, Vrh Krnic, Javoršček and Kal. 06.12.2022.

10.5. 2024. We still had some unknown paths around Humčič. And an unexplored cavern we skipped last time under the summit. Because three slipped there a few years ago and ended their lives. Andrej told us that. Local from Bovec who knows these paths well. He helped us in our exploration. At tour end we met in Bovec for coffee. We went from Čezsoča. To Humčič. With rope help we descended to cavern entrance and viewed it. Further it's known to us and we found passages where landslide was. Then walk by Slatenik babbling. And on new path for us to Predolina where we snacked. Last part past hunting hut at Jamah and bit tough descent to Čezsoča. With navigation we searched passages. Once more left, then right. Not to get under wall. Where cliffs are and you lose way. Turned out nice for us. Third expedition member Božo also very satisfied with tour. He explored there before. But turned back no further passages found. We did 18 km and 1300 elevation.
We have everything mapped out.1
