Humin (Gemona del Friuli)-Ospedaletto-Pioverno-Bordano-Braulins-Trasaghis-Lago di Cavazzo

Saturday, 15.10.2022 (bike trip)
I used to visit Humin often back in the day, both the little town and the hills and mountains above it. Beautiful spots, especially the "centro storico", rebuilt almost to its original state after the earthquake. Today I biked to places where I used to start my hill trips, tourist walks, cultural events viewings, and also to pamper my stomach. I started at the cathedral Duomo di Santa Maria Assunta in Humin, went via bypass to Ospedaletto and turned there to the little lake Minisini (Lago di Ospedaletto). A bit further, at the church Chiesa de Santo Spirito, I took a rest and breakfast, then continued through Pioverno to Bordano. Didn't check out the butterflies this time, but treated myself to coffee and refreshing drink there. Feeling was on point, weather unfortunately not, but I still decided to continue to Lago di Cavazzo. On the way stopped in Braulins, where I once started the ascent to Brancot and from where I visited the little church Chiesetta di San Michele dei Pagani several times. By Cavazzo lake I rested a bit and looked around, then biked back the same path through Trasaghis to Braulins and turned there to the bridge over Tilment. Wasn't far to the car anymore, but since I parked on top of the hill, a nasty climb was waiting for me there. For a nice end to the pleasant trip, a big tomcat took care of it, sunbathing on my car. He wouldn't be disturbed, so I had to manually relocate him to another spot to drive home. For the first time enough, continuation surely follows

Bojan at least the cat knew it was you and could comfortably stretch out on the car , from Pioverno/Venzone there is a bike path towards Cavazzo, Tolmezzo (junction towards Villa Santina and further to Ovaro) , or further towards Caneva, Arta Terme , Sutrio (on Tabacco map 013 marked green ) , I did it years ago from Imponzo to Venzone and of course 2 cars .

Hi Alessio,
thanks for info I've ridden the bike path from Tolmezzo to Ovaro and back already, from Sutrio to Zoncolan too, before winter I plan Tolmezzo-Ovaro-Zoncolan-Sutrio-Tolmezzo. Hope Zoncolan doesn't snow soon, no chains for bike
