Hunting path under Kanceljni

Yesterday, a few years after we turned back before the technically most difficult spot, I returned to this area. A little before twelve at the fiftieth bend (turnoff for Zadnjica) I take the path that a little higher brings me to several huts and a pasture. After some searching at the top of the pasture I find the beginning of the mentioned path. For quite some time I follow it nicely, but in some places you have to have eyes on stalks. Higher up, about two hundred meters below the height of crossing Klin's gully, I lose it completely. I walk by feel and with the help of map layers I catch it again when the terrain starts to become more demanding. Into the gully there used to lead some cables that are now torn, and pitons that are bent. Somehow it still goes across. On the other side I again struggle a lot and search where the passage forward will be. After some fighting with dwarf pines, I find the right passage that brings me to slabs with cables where we turned back a few years ago. Also from here on the path is for some time still quite hard to follow, but after descending into the next ravine it is somewhat easier, but far from easy. The end of the path is not so close, the crossing continues, dwarf pines are cut in some places, but still it doesn't go very fast. At the hunting hut I catch my breath, it was quite strenuous, more than four hours this path took me. I descend leisurely along the mule track and road back to the car. Solitary and extremely orientationally demanding. Probably ranks among my top five in terms of orientation difficulty.

And along this path from the hunting hut, is it possible to reach Germlajt?

I don't know about that, haven't come across anywhere that an approach from this side would be possible. Maybe someone else has some info.

From the hunting hut one should cross the steep southern slopes left under the walls of Germlajt, where then you search for passages across steep grass, dwarf pine and scree towards the summit ridge.

I've been dreaming about this for years, but the stars don't align and maybe they never will for me, everyone has their own limits.
The hunting path under Kanceljni crosses the Veliki Prosek ravine and somewhere around it the easiest passages up to Germlajt should lead; at least that's what I gathered from Avčin(1) and Primorske stene(2). The latter mention "hunting/trails up to III", in the context of the Trent area ends and what I know about some hunting approaches from there it sounds quite demanding. Maybe it's better that I'm afraid. There are quite a few elevation gains from the crossing of V. Prosek to the summit.

(1) If I'm not mistaken, Planinski vestnik, or Kjer Tišina šepeta

Otherwise, the way to Germlajt via Goličica is nothing special either. Just a bit steep down from Goličica into the notch.

Super! Someone recently posted this path, hiked from the opposite side, so starting at the hunting lodge. But not in full, of course.

I think it's Janez Seliškar, but he's not on the forum.

If I'm not mistaken, I once read about the ascent to Germlajt from this side at Marjani and Markot.
