On Saturday I wandered through the Istrian hills and valleys from Gračišće to Sočerga through a beautiful landscape dressed in magnificent autumn colors. Sumac stood out especially, now flaunting itself in multicolored shades and making the landscape truly wonderful. At the end I also checked out the rock shelter with the natural bridge, located above the road between the two border crossings at Sočerga, the so-called ears of Istria.

On Saturday I was in Hrastovlje. Besides the beautiful and famous Romanesque church with the Tabor wall from the end of the 16th century, I enjoyed the beautiful warm autumn colors of the sumac. Regards Sonja

Since I'm from the land of sumac, I'm sending you some beautiful pics from Velega Baldina. To Veli Baldin descend on the path to the overhangs and natural bridge on the Karst edge right before the state border with Croatia. (Sočerga)

What can I say, wonderful. If possible I go to the Karst every year to admire this beautiful sumac. The whole land glows. Whoever hasn't experienced these indescribable views should head to the Karst. Every year I'm enchanted again. How this dear nature makes us happy, gives new energy and fills the soul. All the best!

Hello Krašovc! I believe that Karst is beautiful in every season, especially in autumn and of course because of the sumac. Since I'd like to see it when it blooms, please tell me in which month that happens. I checked Google, no data on blooming (at least I can't find it). Thank you kindly for the answer. All the best.

Previous pictures with narcissus are from yesterday and Sunday, so this is the current state. Although this year is a bit earlier than previous years. So, if you want, don't miss the weekend :-)
Otherwise I'll add autumn pictures, by the sea, at Čupe, in Nabrežina bay, at Ribica trail.. (always check Tabacco 47)

Today we decided to go see if sumac is also fiery red this year. nasmeh

On the path from Eagle's Nest (towards natural bridge) we found a thin black windbreaker (maybe from the group that overtook us this morning). Info by phone 041-679-115.

I noticed too late that sumac has its own title. Let it have it, it deserves it, my contribution perhaps fits better in this section. Currently the fiery colors are at their peak and visit is really recommended mežikanje

Some shots from yesterday on the path Gradec - Veliki Babin (Eagle's Nest) - natural bridge. Pleasantly warm nasmeh

, lots of hiking groups, sumac colors already towards the end. More than annoying was the drone buzzing jezen

that in the protected Natura 2000 area scared off a pair of rock pigeons peacefully sitting in a small cavity, some 10 m from us. Do some really have no feeling for nature? mrk pogled
