For my 50th birthday I took 3 days just for myself; Kriški Podi and surrounding peaks. The girls at Pogačnik's hut surprised me on the second day with a wonderful cake decorated with chocolate and mountain flowers, a toast and champagne (in her enthusiasm my friend Nataša brought it right to the top). Girls, hats off!!!! Sincere thanks for all the friendliness, service, good food....and everything!!!!!

Since you're mentioning the staff at Kriški Podi, let me add that we last year and the year before were also very satisfied and surprised by such a young, friendly and energetic team of guys and girls. A kind word or small attention brightens the day for many.

@ŠIMETA,@ pegica, bravo, praise is the nicest thing, brightens our day, makes us happier, boosts our confidence, a lot of that is missing on this forum, thanks again on behalf of all who think like me 
I too can praise the staff at the hut on Kriški Podi, we stayed over from Saturday to Sunday, everything was booked, crowded, but they were very friendly despite everything and we lacked nothing
@pegica, congrats on your nice years, you really couldn't have made a better birthday than in the mountains, and friends who are with you, that's it

Let me add praise to the staff and caretaker in this hut..they are really far above the others...pleasant, positive....Last year we visited the hut when they were closing it, we got lunch, coffee and extremely pleasant conversation, socializing..Keep it up, we like to come back...

So then in other huts they are less friendly, because I read here that in this house on Kriški Podi they are very friendly. I don't go to huts much, because I don't know what awaits me inside, whether the staff will pleasantly surprise or disappoint, and I don't want to experience some unfriendliness on that nice day, so I rather take food with me, sit on some rock off the path and eat in silence, solitude. So @pegica THANKS I will stop by this hut myself sometime, I like those the best, they brighten the day.

Yes, I'd say probably, such experience from the Hut at Triglav Lakes, but not all, ... some are just full of themselves, as we sometimes say, the caretaker at Bregarjevo Shelter, complete opposite, ... hey, shall I treat you to coffee, was one of the questions, ...
To Kriški Podi we still want to go this year soon and hope it works out.
