The trail and starting point description is nicely described in the list of trips. The trail is definitely suitable for families with the youngest members, especially along the right bank of the Iška River, viewed upstream. Towards the end of the trail, barbecue grills are placed and stationed almost right by the river itself. In spring and autumn, it's particularly interesting in Vintgar, because there are considerably fewer people there and one can really relax by the murmuring river. I recommend. Best, Andrej

It's great also in summer, when you can cool off a bit in the water.
Very recommended to bring old sneakers, so you can walk right on the edge, almost in the water.
It's great too, as you can observe stream trout that come quickly to the gravel, especially if you put a piece of salami.
We've also seen otters.
AND ALMOST PEED OUR PANTS when a bear roared above us in the upper part of the gorge.
And I'd tear the ears off the one who cut down Ilex right at the end of the gorge. Not one tree but a whole plantation. Hope he realizes his stupidity someday.
