Jurišče - Kršičevec

Print
starakapa25. 04. 2008 11:14:31
Yesterday, 24 April, I set out from the village of Jurišče in the Pivška basin to the lesser-known mountain Kršičevec (1091 m). We start the path in the village of Jurišče and head north on a well-marked path, where we already see our goal in the distance. First, the cart track takes us across the plain, then it gradually ascends. At the path junction, we can decide to view the sheer pit (2 minutes to the right - signpost). We return on the same path to the junction and continue towards the summit. After 30 minutes, we reach the karst summit with a stone pyramid, stamp and logbook. Very scenic - (Snežnik, Slavnik, Učka etc.). We return on the left path from the summit, again to the village of Jurišče, so that we circle our route.

The tour itself is very nice and undemanding. I recommend an early hour, especially in summer.

Along the path there is very diverse flora, especially lots of hairy pasqueflowers (PROTECTED).

Yesterday, 16.02.2013, we headed to Kršičevec. The path was barely visible as ahead of us on the top there was only someone on skis. In places snow sinks to knees, towards the top it is windblown. Yesterday strong bora was blowing. We soon retreated from the top. Weather was sunny and clear.
They even hung them in the empty Jurišče1

There in the back is our goal6

And we're almost at the goal - the bora does its job10
Summit - the bora is blowing and we must leave it soon11
Let's go to the valley, to shelter from the bora12
Towards the village Juršče it is much better13

Again with Tadej we did an excellent tour to a somewhat less visited summit Kršičevec. We started and also finished a bit above the village Koritnice.
In the beginning we walked on the road towards Mošun and continued on forest paths towards the goal and joined the marked path coming from Jurišče a bit below the summit. A bit below the summit at the scenic point, we enjoyed wonderful views which are really beautiful. The landscape was slightly wintery with some snow, which was a real refreshment for my photographic soul, for the downhill walk but a bit less. nasmeh

A couple of days ago completely unknown, yesterday already on its summit. Sometimes one description attracts you incredibly, this time in one of the last PV issues. No special preparations needed, you just drive to Pivka Valley, which always welcomes you with its peace and quiet.

Our starting point was the village Jurišče or now Juršče. The whole trail well marked, really exemplary, lots of signs. Towards the top, and already before across the beautiful world of dry, colored grasses waving in the wind and beautifying the landscape. Little before the summit over a small scree, past a viewpoint and to the summit, welcoming with special neatness. We thought we ended up in a totally wild world when we spotted a hiker who climbed up a shortcut. Otherwise it's also bears, wolves and lynx territory. No distant views to Julians and Dolomites, but didn't miss them amid all the beauty.

On return we climbed amid small livestock pastures on circular trail also to Bele stene. These start with nice overhang and top offers view to Kršičevec and world we left shortly before. In village quite a few loose dogs, but not dangerous. Only shepherd dogs loudly escorted us crossing pastures, but they were fenced, same as sheep.
Didn't drive to Palško Lake as it's dry now, has water in spring or late fall after heavy rains.

Definitely excursion worth repeating, not just one hikenasmeh!

Well this will be the first entry this year. Četrkovci - walking group at PD Škofja Loka conquer lesser known Slovenian hills. This time we drove to village Jurišče, which is in Pivka valley near Knežak. In village start to summit Kršičevec. Walked on karst meadows. At end also bit of ascent - total around 400m elevation. Also walk through karst scrubs. Currently not even cowslips blooming yet. Karst meadows offer already quite some flowers of area - from narcissus to peonies not yet blooming. After about two hours reach summit. Here even stamp and logbook. Before village went bit uphill through these beautiful meadows. Always have some reason to celebrate after tour end.
Start in the village Jurišče.1

On the path.3
We spot our little peak right away - it is a bit over 1000 m high.4
Something must be left for another time.5
There are plenty of directional signs and also knafelj marks.6

There are quite a few of us - for this largest bus.8
Place for rest.9
Somewhere halfway along the path we encounter the second place to sit.10
