Besides the well-visited passes Žmavčarji and Gamsov skret, there is also the Jurjevec pass. This time we used it in the descent from the bivouac of Pavel Kemperle on the Veliki Podi. At the top of the gully, at the place where the marked path from the bivouac under Grintavcem towards Kokrsko sedlo turns left upwards towards the Mali vrati, we turned left into the gully and through steep grasses reached the first jump. Over the jump we helped ourselves with a rope to the lower scree. After it, descent and right under the walls, where chamois path traces are noticeable. We follow the paths to the junction of the wall with bushes. Here we turn slightly right upwards, cross some bushes and reach a rocky step. In exposure we cross it, approx. 5-6 m, and again reach bushes. Over them we descend to the larch; here left below us a steep gully between wall and bushes appears. Steeply down it into the forest. Here it is necessary to search for chamois traces and cross slightly right and down. At a suitable place we reach the gully on the left, step into it and carefully down it (smooth rocks, scree, grass, earth) to the gap leading from Kokrsko sedlo. We cross this gully and are on the marked path from Kokrsko sedlo to the valley. Solitary, very demanding in orientation, but an excellent variant for lovers of such passes.

Yesterday, when returning to the valley, at the lowest point of the marked path before the Mali vrati, I turned left..., somewhere in my memory I remembered that there is also a pass over Jurjevec. When today I look at the description and pictures of Janez and his group, I think I hit the right passes, except below I arrived at the gully that falls from Kokrsko sedlo, at the sling with which the wire is fixed, so I moved left and came upon the gully (I think the right one) in the area of which descent is possible. Quite demanding..., without experience or company, do not go on such a path. P.S. Above on the podi there is still quite a bit of snow, so walking without an ice axe is irresponsible..., I saw a slip followed by laughter,...in another place it could have ended differently.
