I'm interested in how it goes over Snake's Tongue (between VP and VO) in dry conditions. Is it ever completely ice-free?

No response to my question from last year. Probably none of the experts wanted to risk being blamed for some accident.
So this year I went to check anyway. You can already see snow in the gully from the valley. Probably never completely without. With crampons and ice axe it goes. Even when switching to dry ground, no problems. For descent I'd think thoroughly... I won't describe more so I don't end up responsible for anything.
Since Paradise tempted me for a long time, I extended from the col along the ridge to Velika Ponca. It's within Martuljek conditions. This route is certainly easier than from Ponca because it ascends. Descent the other way can be annoying.
p.s. Coincidence or something more...?
Above Macesna two hikers bumped into each other. Exactly to the minute, two meet with the same intention, from different parts of Slovenia, even with the same name. Meanwhile on the whole ridge from Ponca to Škrlatica no one was seen. And so we looked after each other so it wasn't too anxious in the gully. Thanks for that...

Sincere congratulations for Paradise. From VMP to VO along the ridge is even in the Rutas a great achievement!

Congratulations, I was last week at VMP and several times also at Kačji jezik, but paradise never appealed to me, there should be some chili added .

Franc60, upload some more photos from the ascent, with comments, or the whole album, like I did when I went over Kačji jezik in winter conditions. You won't be responsible for that, everyone on a solo tour is responsible for themselves. A good photo report is a good source of information and useful for all those mountaineers who want to repeat a well-described ascent. Like Marijana and Marko do. 'I won't describe more...', you write, then it's better not to write anything. All or nothing. No hard feelings.
