The lower neighbor of Debela peč doesn't get many visitors due to its location. It lies northeast of its colleague, away from the very crowded paths from Blejska koča direction. Ascent to its scenic ridge section (not the summit itself) is accessible from the marked path (20 m elevation), running under its ridge from Planina Klek to Debela peč. But it took some effort to figure that out and swallow some orientation and cartographic lumps We started our Saturday hike on the marked path by the road near Planina Klek. We reached the pasture soon, first hitting livestock sheds; shepherd huts are deeper in the central part. Along the slopes of this nice pasture, one of Pokljuka's larger ones, we followed signs to the larch forest on its west side. After about twenty minutes' ascent through the forest, we headed towards the trail - indicated by almost all maps I use (some as marked) - but soon realized that the only "paths" we saw were game trails. Maps show it as northwest ascent to the saddle between Klečica and Vrh Sedla, some as the only way to Debela peč. After an hour of scrambling through larches, brushwood (bypassable), trickier karst (even found sprayed marks), we reached more open terrain giving hope. First we climbed right to the aforementioned saddle, surprised by a hunting mountain eagle. Few views there, Klečica summit access guarded by dense brushwood. Then down the path back (south) towards grassy clearing and visible brushwood passage, soon cairn then marked path to Debela peč. Up it under Klečica ridge to spot promising easy ridge ascent. Just below it, narrow pit (protected by dry branches), quite deep. Ridge has nice views almost everywhere, only towards SW - impressive nearby Debela peč - blocks better panorama feel. Descended same path to where we "discovered" marked path, continued descent. Few hundred elevation meters lower, junction (Preval) with signs to Planina Klek, Lipance, Debela peč - came from the latter. So: "Debela peč" sign marks path under Klečica ridge to Debela peč, from Lipance path later branches more direct marked (old) path to Debela peč, joining at saddle below. Turns out more map issues than terrain orientation problems. Won't take them next time... Back at pasture, refreshed with water, not far to car. Nice day.

Klečica doesn't have many visitors. I only once read from Janez Pikon, who climbed this peak with a group. Interesting and nice views..

For this autumn visit to Klečica we set out this time from in front of the lowered barrier, which prevented us from a higher (about 3 km closer) starting point below Planina Klek. Barriers set in 2021 due to introduction of quiet zone for protection of animal and plant species. Sign there (Goša, around 2 km before Medvedova konta) also allows those who can drive further this activity from mid-June to end of October. Path – which ascends from the planina through rich larch forest – is well marked. For ascent to Klečica at first junction (~30 min walk from planina) choose Debela peč direction, which leads high under Klečica ridge and later descends to Škrbina and continues to summit of Debela peč. To Škrbina – at least most maps show so – can also ascend after some 600 m walk from path towards Lipanci at mentioned junction. Path to Klečica first winds through forest, then through cleared passages through scree. When path almost reaches little saddle between Vrh Sedla and highest, otherwise bushy highest peak of Klečica, turns left, from there to clearing easing path to top of Klečica ridge another 10 min, from marked path through scree choose best path ourselves. Just below ridge top can peek into deep pit, entrance protected by dry branches. Marked path well marked and maintained, just direction signs at mentioned junction wait for sign painter Nice and solitary day.

@djimuzl Did we meet above Planina Klek before the path turns to Klečica, my wife and I down, you two up? My wife and I were with the dog... we went to Debela peč from Planina Zajavornik, then down to Klek, a bit on the road, a bit through the forest past Medvedova konta back to Planina Zajavornik...

Yes, Jure Nice spots, eh? In about a week sunglasses will be needed through this gold Did you descend via Klečica or directly from Škrbina to the Lipanca-Klek path?

Yes, gorgeous, in about a week it will really be the peak ... we descended via Klečica... first we had, as usual, planned a circular route from Debela peč to Brda, Lipanski vrh and Mrežce, but at the top of Debela peč we decided on descent to Klek because we hadn't taken that path yet (I've been to Klek several times by bike). And from Klek to Zajavornik through the forest we expected to look for mushrooms, but sadly there were none that we dare pick
