Dear Sirs, I am 61 years old, this year with full 40 years of physical work I am retiring. It hurts me a lot in the lower part of the spine, the pain goes to both knees and heels. In the right knee and heel I have unbearable pain after minor exertion. When walking I stagger and my right leg just buckles. It also happens that then I lose balance and fall. Occasionally I feel tingling in both legs. Recently I had an MRI. They found out that I have a hyperintense tumor larger than one centimeter on a vertebra in the lower spine, and a 3 mm vertebral slip. I wonder if the pain in the limbs is related to this diagnosis, what awaits me, how to cure or alleviate the pain. I would like to keep working. Recently I had unbearable itching in the limbs and hives all over the body. Thank you for your answer. Best regards Tone

Tonteh, ask rather your personal doctor/co. For pains in the heel, it could be a heel spur, regarding the diagnosis for the spine, pain can radiate from there to the knee (that's the theory). But if it hurts that much, ask a doctor rather... best m4

This one got a bit lost. It's not quite clear if he's mocking himself or everyone on hribih.net.

Maybe some mountaineer has already run into similar problems. Don't just mock the question When you don't have or get an answer to troubles, you look for it every way.

Nerves travel through the spinal cord to the legs and it's logical that after a slipped disc you feel pain also in the legs, I believe tumor helps with all that too... Itching is most often consequence of fungi. Doctor should refer you to surgery as soon as possible.
