Some of today's pictures from the path to the hut at Jelen's Spring. At the beginning the path is quite muddy and slippery, further ahead there is some snow on the path, which poses no problem. Path suitable for families with children. Hut open on Saturdays and Sundays. Best regards

Today a nice afternoon hike to Mestni vrh and the hut at Jelen's Spring. Lots of snow, the path is well trodden, so no major issues when walking. Best regards.

First time this year to the hut at Jelen's Spring. In the lower part of the path there is quite some ice on the path, good to have crampons for descent.

Good day! After a good year, another contribution to this topic.

This goal we set for ourselves as guides of PD Škofja Loka and it was a trip of the guiding section. Two went only to the hut, the other four to nearby Fridrihštein. We spiced the trip with a hike to Reško Lake and even a visit to bunker Škrilj.

Start at the sports center where the MTB track ends and the adrenaline park. Here starts the marked path to the hut at Jelen's Spring and Fridrihštein. The path runs for some time alongside the MTB track. It is steep in places. About halfway snow starts and snow cover to the hut already an enviable 40 cm. About 25 min to the hut the paths split - right to Fridrihstein, left to the hut. This to the hut almost untrodden. We plowed partly through the whole snow, which was a special pleasure first time this winter. Hut open also in winter on weekends and the caretaker said it is most visited precisely in winter. We returned on the arrival path. It is quite spongy, wet.
