Retired group PD Škofja Loka Pondeljkovci, who somehow also divide into Brzeče and Polžke, visited Kočevje yesterday. We walked along Kočevsko lake from east to west. In about one and a half hours we circled the lake. Then we drove to view Željnske cave. Hike starts at Ciganov settlement. Good half hour lasts path in forest - not overly trodden. Then we find ourselves before sign that tells what these caves are. Caves basically in two clusters. In first cave even pre years some time camped Gypsies. For view of these caves need batteries. Floor damp, slippery. Caves basically two, passing one into other. No stalactites, saw only one. It was really interesting. Conclusion with warm snack we had in Tušek inn. Bears here no more. Had good time and again learned saw something new.
