Kolpa and Radenska Stena

With Škofja Loka retirees—Čtrkovci, I went to the southern border to the Kolpa river and walked the path along Radenska stena. Along the border river Kolpa runs the southernmost Slovenian footpath. This is the area of the Kolpa landscape park. They say it's the longest Slovenian riviera. Along the river there is a fence—mostly ordinary, some panel—that's the one that's barbed on top. We went past Kot area—the southernmost point of Slovenia—past Medvedov senik, past karst cave Kobiljača. Inside only with cavers. Then we continued along the ridge of Velika and Mala Radenska stena. Quite steeply up at the beginning. Then the path leads roughly on top—quite rocky. Along the ridge a little down, a little down, until the ridge drops down and continues with Mala Radenska stena. In between two viewpoints down to Kolpa river. Descent went quite down. Together we walked a little more than four hours. It was a unique experience. We even met our border guards.
