Our Saturday goal was Kopa (locals call it Kapa) above Cerkno. Possible starting point is Raspet, so from Davča, shorter tour about an hour. Other starting point is Cerkno, 3 hours 20, from Poče village one hour less. We followed the advice of a friend from Cerkno and drove to Labinje village. We went along the marked path and joined the path from Poče, to Labinje leh. We reached the Slovenian mountain path, which comes from the starting point at Franja hospital (down 1 hour 50 min). We continued left towards Porezen. One part of the path is gravelly and they carefully equipped it with steel cables. We continued to the "winter direction" sign, then steeply uphill to the bench, where the path levels out, locals call it Vrše. Here the path splits, left to Porezen, we right to Kopa. On the way another bench, nice view of Cerkno and Cerkljansko hribovje. Another ascent, short steep descent, where there are no more steps, but need to be careful, especially in wet or snow. A few more steps up and we are at the bench on Kopa. From Labinje village total 800m elevation, two and a half hours. We returned the same way, if we had a bus, we could return towards Davča (Raspet). On Saturday it was quite warm, dry, clear, but slightly poorer views. In the lower part already some spring flowers. The tour is interesting, as we were all there for the first time. Views from Škofjeloško to Cerkljansko hribovje. This weekend was the hike to Porezen, but we saw only three hikers on that path. We'll come again soon...
