For today, more a walk than a serious hike in the valley of the Bistričica stream. In the settlement Kremenčevo, the Korošak stream flows into the Bistričica stream, which in the gorge above the village forms beautiful waterfalls. The stream comes from under Kržišče below Krvavec. The highest measures 15 m. Into this gorge leads an unmarked, good trodden path. Soon on it branches a path to the right to the Osredek pasture and further to Kamniški vrh. To the big waterfall, less than half an hour. And that is our goal for today. To the remaining waterfalls some other time. Andrej Stritar defined the path in his guide as demanding, unmarked. It is demanding onwards from the big waterfall.

Now, a late-summer view of this friendly gorge of the Korošak Waterfalls. Now we go into this gorge more to cool off, because there are practically no waterfalls. Still, enough water gathers that the stream at the end of the gorge merrily gurgles. The best time for viewing the waterfalls is really early spring, when the waterfalls are most watery. The big waterfall has barely any water. To the left at the big waterfall, over rocks and scree, one proceeds further into the gorge, where higher in the gorge at sufficient water level there are still the other waterfalls. On these rocks it is currently quite hard to climb, because it is wet and slippery. Extreme caution applies to the descent. At the top of this rocky area or scree, a barely visible path in tall grass turns right and after a short ridge we descend again into the gorge. Then we continue along the right fork of the gorge to the upper larger waterfall, which is nice with big water. Currently it has barely any water. If nothing else, the pleasant cool in the gorge really revives us.
