Korška Gorge / Trögerner Klamm

Since a hot day was forecasted for Sunday, we said, let's go somewhere where there won't be heat. Korška soteska or Korške peči (nature reserve), which is deeply cut into the eastern foothills of Košuta, was a really good choice. We learned about it only recently and it was presented in one newer guidebook. From the soteska we then headed also to Slovenian village Korte, where they just had blessing on Sunday, i.e. Slovenian mass, after it socializing and party. Everywhere you could hear only Slovenian speech and you felt really genuine joy, that they organize like this after more than hundred years of division of Koroška.
After return from soteska we wanted real swimming, for that we chose Borovniško jezero (Freibacher Stausee), to which you drive from village Sele. Borovniško jezero shines really nicely from nearby Obirja, also from Setič you see it.
Well, to soteska we drove over Jezerski vrh, then through Železna kapla, then in direction of Obirskega, and approximately after five km from roundabout turned left in direction of soteska. Best is that you park at second parking lot. Soteska is long just under three km.
