Lipnik and Kavčič were the recipients of our visit. Spring-like warm weather, wonderful views, tons of solitude, warm soft grass inviting to sit and lie down . . . It would be a sin to wish for anything nicer than it was nasmeh

Žbevnica-Špičasti vrh-Golič-Kojnik-Lipnik-Kavčič
Leisurely walk, warm, with occasional breeze and great if you want to spare high boots and/or gaiters for a day. mežikanje

I walked barely over 700m elevation gain, but it added up to over 20 km. I ate the sausage under the hut below Žbevnica, near Brest village. Paths, grassy cart tracks and 'freely like Prešeren' or 'best to follow your nose' were without issues.
Spring is waking up. Corvids obviously don't 'mate' only in Glinščica, but also around Kavčič.

Kojnik-Golič-Špičasti vrh-Muzar-Žbevnica-Kavčič-Lipnik-Kojnik

Yesterday walked these beautiful peaks, you don't know which one to put first. Since we were on Žbevnica for the first time and we really liked it up there, I'd definitely rank it first nasmeh

.
For starting point we chose Podgorje and basically did a loop. We stepped on Kojnik twice, but only shorter part on the same path. From Žbevnica we didn't return over the ridge, but soon turned left and climbed Kavčič our way. Descent from Lipnik we also did a bit our own way. Yesterday really extraordinary views all around, snowy mountain peaks in the distance, sea practically at every glance, even the highest peak of Osorščica was well visible.
On the whole path practically met no one, only an Italian cyclist arrived at the top of Žbevnica.

No wonder almost five years have passed since the last post nasmeh

Beautiful photos of these nice areas. Maybe just add that after descent from Lipnik no need to climb Kojnik again, but just follow the cart track in the valley between ridges, which turns into a gravel road and brings us to Podgorje. Interesting to start in Zazid and on return descend from Lipnik to the path towards start, which we see from the top. Even in snow the path is very fun, but advise against in bora wind - especially Žbevnica.

Yesterday retirees of UD Medvode visited Kojnik. It was very cold. After half the path we entered winter. The path is well marked. We went on the steep path and had to watch out for slips. There were places with up to 20cm snow - real winter idyll. Kojnik summit rewarded us with beautiful view. Even the sea is visible. But it was quite windy. We were prepared for the fierce wind - gloves, scarf, jacket, good shoes. And hot tea. In a good hour and a half we were at the top at the logbox. Finish in Kozina at Pri Mahniču. I won't overly praise or criticize. Goodbye!
