Poor weather forecast made many think twice, but the brave profited. Clear sky greeted us already in the morning, on Primorska it was cloudy, but dry and pleasant for walking.
Members of PD Dramlje and PD Šentjur spent a nice day in Slovenian Istria. The bus took us to Sočerge, and then waited for us in Gračišče. The footpath led us past the church of St. Kvirik, along the karst edge to the natural bridge and the even more famous overhangs. Despite cloudy weather we also ran into a green whip snake , which wasn't too lively yet. The path then led us to the neighboring ridge, where the famous Three Ears are, and to the top of Kuk, from where there's a nice view of Hrastovlje and the valley towards Trieste. Along the way we enjoyed picking juniper berries and wild asparagus , which we savored already during the walk. In Gradišče we treated ourselves to real Primorska minestra and good refošk . For a nice trip conclusion we also viewed the famous frescoes in the church of Holy Trinity in Hrastovlje.

Today I walked these hills - Kuk, Lačna, Veliki Gradež. It already smells like spring, one whole slope full-full of snowdrops... More pics and route description on blog: Hrastovlje - V. Gradež - Kuk - Lačna

Very nice path, wonder if it's suitable for 4 year old child with parents now in this time as spring approaches. Thanks and best regards

Path mostly suitable also for small child, just adjust the distance. Ascent and descent to Lačna not suitable for such small child or you'd have to watch kid very carefully as it's steep. Maybe with child easier to Lačna from Kubed or Gračišče, but then it's a bit different loop.

Bravo, after a knee injury this is a proper solid path. When I was there, my little car was totally alone at the parking lot

On picture 23 it's not Kojnik, but in the foreground is Kavčič, in the background Žbevnica, which is already on the Croatian side.
That "strange enclosure" on picture 18 is the winter nest of Pinijev's accompanying weevil
