Krim as the highest mountain of the Ljubljana Basin practically offers itself to mountain bikers with its rounded, visible ridge from afar.
To its foothills or Iška vas you first have to go through Ljubljana traffic and waiting at red lights. On Ižanka I surrender to admiring the Barje, birds, marsh native shrubs, grass. At Iška vas Krim already looks like a proper mountain. A new asphalt road to Gornji Ig 650m a.s.l. surprises me, later replaced by gravel all the way to the top of Krim. The path is nicely winding and gently ascends in long serpentines. To the top of Krim from Iška vas 12km climb. From Pržan (via Ljubljana) it was exactly 40km and 2h 50min ride to top. For return I chose descent towards Rakitna and via Podpeč through Notranje Gorice and Brezovica and Viča home. Descent was very long and nice, more than 67km/h on this road no longer possiblevelik nasmeh.jezik
Tour was very nice, diverse in landscape and in between already mid-mountainousnasmeh

Podpeč/Jezero - Tomišelj - Krim - Brezovica - Preserje - Podpeč (circular tour)

Ascent to Krim from this direction goes along forest and shady roads. The slope isn't too steep, but orientation in the forest is much more demanding, there are quite a few intersections and branches here and there, so you have plenty of opportunities to choose the wrong road or "mess up". But no worries - at least no bears.
Descent from the Krim hut to the junction on the main road is a bit bumpy, then another km on a gentle slope to the pass, from there down to the asphalt road Rakitna - Preserje the gravel is quite friendly (unless a car dusts you), and then further descent to Preserje is pure enjoyment.
Of course, the descent can also be done exclusively on forest roads and via Planinca to Jezero, but for the first time I don't recommend it due to difficult orientation.

In the morning there was still real fog on Krim, perfect for the tour.
I started in Iska vas, where everything was already parked. To Zg Iga 650m the road is now asphalted, higher the original gravel. The road isn't steep, but quite long to the top of Krim with 16.5km. Sometimes I went straight from home and it came to about 85km bike routevelik nasmeh. The ascent was warm and not much better at the top, as the boozers were drinking beer like it was a bet. Cumulus clouds appeared quickly from somewhere, so I hurried towards Rakitna to the lake with the restaurant. Motorcycles all with Italian plateseek. If they don't smell good pub points, nobody does. The air here is supposedly sea-continental and healing. To Cerknica from here isn't far either, 17km. For the finale, another fairly long ascent to the 950m saddle and long fast descent to Iska. Total 46km, in 1h35min to the top of Krim.nasmeh
One unusual incident happened on the way near Zg Iga. While riding on the road through overgrown forest, a buzzard flew from the sky through the treetops and only a few meters above my head realized I was too big a meal for iteekvelik nasmeh. So it circled and redirected the flight upwards. Maybe from height it only saw my head, since I was without helmet.

Depends on fitness, how much time you would walk, what paths suit you, how much elevation... Maybe nicest option from Jezero to Sv. Ana, then slight descent to parking and again ascent to Planinca and up to Krim. Back again to Planinca and visit Ice Cave.
Circular can also do from Strahomer.

We went to Krim today, first time. Start from Iška. Path marked ok. In hut friendly staff. At top lots of people. View was quite solid.

Posting new commented video (in 4K quality) on my YT channel EMTB Nature, showing interesting and varied descent on hardened trail from Krim towards Iška vas. I did the trail in December during week with ideal weather, so video adorned with wonderful views. On entire trail except very top didn't meet anyone.
Don't recommend video viewing to enemies of mountain bikers, especially enemies of mountain bikers with e-mountain bikes and enemies of everything not their way.
To all others wish pleasant last days of this year, safe biking into 2024 and lots of wonderful nature.

Real true adrenaline descent from Krim. And in 4K resolution. This descent only for cyclists with good reflexes and great courage. Bravo! nasmeh
