On Sunday I had the opportunity to devote a bit more attention to these wonderful alpine tarns. I've been to Kriški Podi countless times, mostly via Sovatna, but haven't dipped my toes in them yet, as I always had to rush somewhere
I focused on the middle two, to the first I descended from Pogačnik left over a small step, to the second you go some 200m slightly uphill. I returned to the hut via the path that goes a bit left of the hut. The water is clear, cold snowmelt. At the first lake there's still some snow towards Dovška vrata, the second is almost fully snow-covered and much smaller. It's not marked on most maps at all. But the latter caught my attention with a strong hum (water flow) in a small rocky basin right by the pond.

Nice, especially the upper one, which very rarely anyone visits.

True. I didn't go to the upper one either. Probably still fully under snow.
