Thanks for the praise. That fat carp probably scared me more than I scared it. For a good hour I filmed little fish around 10-15cm max, then this tanker emerges from the fog nasmeh

The camera is GoPro Hero. I bought an additional mount to attach the camera to any tube - in my case to the hiking pole, often I put it on the bike too.

Today to Križ from Vrata via Sovatna.
Snow starts around 1800m.
At Stenarska vratca I hesitated between Stenar and Križ. Passage under Stenar was too hard in the morning, so I turned and went to Križ. There was quite a lot of snow too and I reached the top a bit my own way.
Nice weather, plays of mists, clouds and sun ... nasmeh

Back via Bovška vrata to bivouac IV. On this side still mostly snowy to the bivouac, but the path is gentler.

On Friday, October 2nd I went to Križ. Started at the Russian cross and past the Hut in Krnica over Kriška wall to the summit. Foggy all the way after entering Kriška wall, then cloudy, only occasionally a bit of blue sky. It goes over Kriška wall, but one needs to be quite careful due to scree and some crumbling. From around 1900m some light snow cover, but it didn't hinder. Didn't meet a single hiker on the whole route, so a day for solitude lovers.

In severe cold and strong wind (which luckily calmed in the afternoon) Nataša and I climbed to Križ on Saturday past Bivak IV. The path was snow-covered from Aleš hut, hard snow starts at the junction to bivouac below Stenar gates, but it was possible to reach the bivak without crampons. Further we walked with them, to the ridge it's hard almost continuously. On descent to Pogačnik hut many bare spots (especially on ridge), last 100m better remove crampons. We slept in winter room of Pogačnik hut, which is fine.

On Saturday to Križ. Up via Sovatna, down past IV. Route impossible without winter gear, already icy in the forest. Would warn also about snow-covered holes from Križ to bivak, especially the smaller ones, but dangerous enough.
