I don't know about other countries, because in Austria I only have about 5 hikes (parking always free) but in Italy where I go up to 15x a year don't bullshit me. There so far at Kreutzberg pass I paid 3eur for whole day at hotel parking, at Dolomitenhof you pay 8eur whole day, then there's that sinfully expensive toll to Auronzo hut and also for 52 tunnels we paid parking. No pass on state roads is charged there, let alone barely accessible starting points.

Really a pity.
How would a two-day circular hike to Krn and surrounding peaks from this side even be feasible? Any other starting point / parking? Only Drežnica left? We've already gone from Lepena, over Komna too, only Kuhinja missing for us and to overnight on Krn (usually at Krn Lakes).
p.s. Kranjska Gora, Jasna Lake - large gravel parking by the road is also paid this year, first hour free, otherwise euro/hour. This Easy Park they've put everywhere now (including Slovenian coast: 1.50/hour),  where it was free or at least cheap before ...
p.p.s. During vacation in Kranjska Gora we preferred hiking to hills across the border (starting point Nevejski preval and area) and swimming in Rabeljsko Lake, where you can still park normally and FREE and no crowds (end of July). Recommend!

Nothing will be financed, the road is in desperate condition. They'll put another parking meter in Kobarid center with that money.
