On Saturday the path was a bit changed, water did its thing. Somewhere around the junction to Kačji graben Pišnica took a new path (don't know if it's always like that after heavier rain) so you go forward on the left side across a steep slope, where in this wetness there's danger of slipping. A bit further just before Planina v Klinu the water deepened the path by about a meter, don't know how further - in Klin I turned towards Vršič

Kranjska gora, along Pišnica to the hut in Krnica real winter. Nice path and quite some hikers, despite slightly bad weather nasmeh

Nice path, quickly plowed. Plows right by the road. Hut was closed yesterday. Path through forest suitable also for snowshoes. nasmeh

- Memorial park for those who perished in the mountains in Mali Tamar

- Pasture in Klin and mountains above Vršič

In this real summer merciless heat we can decide and do a really short trip under Vršič to the hut in Krnica. In less than an hour we are cool at the hut. Hut has lots of visitors now. We went back on the pleasant lower path along the gurgling clear stream.

Starting point - we'll be there very quickly.

Otherwise we were heading to Planina Pekol but the road is closed higher up.

To at least somewhat make use of the otherwise nice day we went here.

Classic hut offering - blueberry strudel - 4 euros.

The path runs along the stream - cool clear water refreshes.

Yesterday most rushed on skis past the hut, but it was nice just to the hut. And a bit around nasmeh

djimuzl, I was already in front of the hut when those mountains glowed red, that's probably why the name Škrlatica nasmeh

Shades of these scarlet colors change or transform - depending on the seasons, specific periods in the year (e.g. lunar phases) and weather conditions (cloudiness, snow surface..) nasmeh

For me, winter is definitely the favorite nasmeh

Today ski touring descent from upper Krnica. Super conditions. Snow wet of course, appropriate to the temperatures, but descent was pleasant. Continuous snow starts some 200m before hut.

Concrete avalanche deposits in the lower part.

We can ski right to the hut, and even further.

@capraibex, as for keepers completely agree with you. One of the better ones, and I've met ohoho of them in mountain huts. All good and safe step also in 2022.

The path to Krnica is also not much sunlit at this time, only in a smaller part does sunlight spill. But yesterday fog waterfalls spilled, somewhere between Razor and Zadnji Prisojnik rushing from Vršič, but creating magic effects. They reminded me of some Niagara Falls.
Although there is not much snow, a winter atmosphere accompanied us all the time, a winter landscape decorated with fairy-tale motifs. The path was snowy, also icy in a large part, so microspikes are almost mandatory. Quite many hikers considered that.

Otherwise, the path and views to Pišnica along the path are quite changed, sand deposits or cut banks which weren't there before. Even completely cut parts of the path.
In the hut pleasantly warm and very good coffee nasmeh

Yeah, that's how beautiful Špik was yesterday

Here a part of the path was washed away, a couple of such sections

Another nice Saturday, decided after a long time to look at these parts. Started at AP in Kranjska Gora. Path nicely trodden, icy on some parts. Met many hikers, some groups of kids sledding and also some cross-country skiers. Lots of snow, winter persists here nasmeh

Suspension bridge, attraction especially for tourists.

There is plenty of interesting veteran trees in this forest :)

Like last year, start at AP Kranjska Gora. Path ok, pleasant walk on snow. Lots of hikers, but no sledders or skiers. Regards

For the last trip of the year we chose the path to Krnica, where a good outing is guaranteed. No sun there at this time of course, but still full of magical moments along the path. We did a circular tour, took a few steps also off the marked path, crossed Pišnica midway to Kekec's house (don't know the exact term), lunch we treated ourselves to at Mihov dom, where we got a spot near the pleasantly warm stove nasmeh
