Krpan Trail

Writer Fran Levstik wrote the story Martin Krpan. He placed his hero in the right place according to folk storytelling and so the thematic trail - Krpan Trail was created. We have Krpan Trail and Great Krpan Trail. We walked Krpan Trail and we shortened it a bit too. Our start was at the wonderfully arranged surroundings of Bloško Lake. The trail is marked. It runs through villages Kramplje, Škrabče, Ravnik, Gradiško, Štorovo, Zavrh. From village Zavrh we climb to the church of St. Urh. There used to be Nadlišek castle and around it anti-Turkish camp. This is still reminded of by the defensive ditch. Then we descended to the hamlet Pajkovo, where there are ruins of Pajkovo manor. The manor was burned in WWII. From here we shortened the trail a bit through villages Hiteno and Mramorovo near Pajkovo. We had a local guide who knows these trails. We finished at Sv. Trojica.
