I have been to Krvavec several times by bike (pedaled from city past Apna, Ambrož to Krvavec) now I got a slightly better bike and I'm interested in some trail.(please write difficulty next to it, so I won't kill myself on first descent)

Mravlja I also took your route up and down to Krvavec even with XC bike, given that since last (or the year before last) year there is asphalt to Kriška planina. From there a little hike. Maybe downhill on that track where sometimes when enough snow we can ski to lower gondola station? From path from upper gondola station to Kriška turn right a bit behind power plant. Would need to try!? Of course with downhill bike. If anyone knows or finds let them write! L.P. jusuf

Hi! I've ridden the track you mention several times. Actually there are several paths that split and join again along the whole track. But basically the main track is well visible and you can't miss it. I won't say the path is easy, because it isn't. Upper part is pretty tough, especially when conditions aren't good (read, path not dry). But you can ride it, even with hardtail (if no suspension rear). Sometimes I did it with hardtail and 80mm fork front, last week with full suspension bike and 150mm front/rear and gotta say difference is huge. Mainly you enjoy more and work less smile. No, best to try it. Worst case you walk smile How to get to the path? At upper gondola station ride bit lower, where ratrack garages are. Cross that parking and look left. Somewhere you'll see hiking sign pointing to forest. That's it smile Best check map on my blog: http://www.zunaj.si/2009/09/krvavec-in-padci/ If more questions, write here or to matej at zunaj.si cheers, Matej

Nice. And how do you decide which activity to pick among all you do? Write on slips and draw them ?

Seriously wonder who and why gave primož minuses for this last post. I gave him plus, but no trace of him. Means he got quite some minuses before. Why? What he wrote is spot on. Obviously stepped on someone's sore toe.

Primož, that's such a nicely written blog, at home sure big bonus plus points. Joke aside - younger and older Auersperger generations wish many more nice and interesting hiking trips. Regards

Yesterday I visited Krvavec. If I had left home earlier, I would have »jumped« also to Zvoh, but instead I got only as high as Tihe doline
