Today on a hike to Kržišče-1658m above sea level. With the car we drive to the parking lot at planina Jezerca. From the parking lot left leads the path to Kriška planina. To Kržišče itself we go on an unmarked path which goes a bit to the right or we take it straight up the pasture. Anyway we stick more to the right and after about twenty minutes along the pasture fence we come to a nice viewpoint. We continue up the pasture and soon come to the top ski slope Kržišče. Back we can go directly down, or also through a small grove, where we come to abandoned ski jumps. Below us we see Kriška planina. On Kržišče they pick oregano, globeflower, lady's mantle and maybe more. Currently Kržišče is full of flowers like Wulfen clover, tall clover, golden pogačica, spring gentian, Clusius gentian, smallest alpine bellflower, alpine rockcress. On Kriška planina then we can treat ourselves to something at two agritourisms.

Start Iverje over Hudi konci, Kamniški vrh and along ridge to Kržišče. Returned upper road back to start. That lower hiking path right above Kam.Bistrica is collapsed.

Your so-called lower path is Koželjeva path and has been closed for quite some time.

4 years have passed since the last description/visit of this hillock. Time to wake it up from oblivion again.
My path started behind the quarry in Stahovica, where I climbed over Dolgi rob to Hudi konec. The ridge where I was climbing was damp, the forest smelled of autumn, colors were warm, the steepness just enough so I didn't have time to 'think' nonsense.  A little before Hudi konec the views to the south start opening, accompanying me most of the traverse. At the bivouac on Kamniški vrh I met quite a few eager to catch sun rays. Their number increased to Planjava. Right after its summit, I plunged into solitude again. On this section the markers accompanied me all the way to the second junction to Kriška planina. After the arrow pointing right I left them and continued pathless to Kržišče - the most interesting part of the path. Some branches of scrub have been sawn, probably the ridge is interesting for hunters too. From the top of Kržišče I descended the grasses toward planina Jezerca, on its eastern part I headed to the track, followed it for a while, then traversed down to another track and then to one more. When I next stepped on the track, I ran into a marker and zigzagged along it to planina Osredek. This one also had quite a few visitors. I continued to the cross. About 10 meters below it a faintly visible path starts left, crossing the entire slope of Kamniški vrh. Below it I step back on the marked path, follow it uphill but soon leave it and continue traversing. Finally via a side ridge I reached the transverse track/road. Right won't do, left shouldn't either, but ahead it wasn't trodden. Still I decide and 'poke' a couple 10 meters left, where I spotted a (hunter's) hut above my head. Something told me it wouldn't be right, as by the configuration it should go into the gully. I returned and headed down into the forest. Ups, cairn.  In the gully there was more water than enough, but I managed to reach the track with dry feet. After a while the overgrowth eased, the track turned into a road, along which I leisurely walked to the starting point.

Super!... I too, on Sunday, amid all the "chaos" (never seen so much trash in KB), safely hid on hunter paths  .

Good half hour of slogging for 5 min of pleasure, powdery of course Yesterday this peak was ideal choice, as for most hikers it's not interesting, they prefer towards Krvavec, so peace and solitude were guaranteed Powder to ski still more than enough. Today no peace anymore, as they started the Kržišče lifts too.

Today again above Jezerca and towards Kržišče. Didn't go to the top because Nessy didn't have covid test done Ski conditions completely different than two days ago, of powder only P left  Snow tracked, some crusts, some ice crust, powder only under some tree anymore.

Yesterday to Kržišče via planina Osredek, along the eastern ridge and past Ambrož dol. The unmarked path is really wonderful, for the last hundred meters of elevation proper winter gear is necessary - snow is very hard. Some photos are on the blog.

Today from Klemenčevo via Kranjske senožeti and Leš to the junction towards Kriška planina, then on easy pathless terrain along the ridge to the top of Kržišče. Entire path very steep, as usual for these parts. Right before Leše there must be a bear living/permitted in one larger undercut/cave, as its droppings were visible, so the step quickened a bit
Return via planina Osredek and into Korošica valley back to the car to close a super nice loop with as much as 1100 elevation.
Kržišče and paths to it always surprise and fill me anew.
