Yesterday I climbed from the settlement Plave to Kuk, descended to Paljevo, and from there past the church of St. Quirinus climbed to Prižnica. I should mention that the locals have very nicely arranged especially the path to Prižnica (peak better known by the name point 383 or point of death / Quota della morte) and further to the church of St. Quirinus. According to a talk with a local, they should install signposts and information boards in a week or two (during my visit wooden posts were already placed at all spots, only the plaques were missing). Otherwise I'm not exactly a big expert on the Soča front, but a friendly local told me that at point 383 some of the bloodiest battles of the entire Soča front took place, where around 40,000 soldiers fell on that hill alone. That fierce battles took place here is visible at every step, namely from numerous caverns, trenches, remains of iron... Best, Tadej
