Some of today's impressions from the trail Petrovo Brdo - Kup - Podbrdo - Petrovo Brdo.
The hiked trail is normally passable.

Snow in the high mountains, which Tadej and I could observe today during the hike to the Kup peak from Petrovo Brdo village. Črno prst and surrounding peaks are white. In winter I don't go to the high mountains like that. We drove to Petrovo Brdo village and from there along the marked trail to the nearby 1000er Kup. We started at the mountain hut. To the marked path we had to climb up the scarp, since the path goes across the hut's courtyard, but the hut and inner doors were still locked. The path to the Kup peak with transmitter on top is short, but rewards with a beautiful view of the currently white-clad mountains. We went down the old military well-preserved path to Podbrdo village. At Slap refreshment hut there is a sign for Turški križ - we didn't find it. We saw Ruscov waterfall nearby - ice-clad it is beautiful in winter.

Here in the middle is the Bače-če peak, up close we see the bunker.

Descent to Podbrdo village along the old preserved military path past the ruins of a military facility.

The road is well preserved - the scarps are still standing.

There are plenty of small waterfalls along the path.

In spring I have to go see this Baška grapa attraction.

We went to look for the Turkish cross, but we didn't find it.

Back along the road to Petrovo Brdo. From the road one can apparently descend into the gorge of a nearby stream - I don't know exactly what it is for.

Sl 20 I assume bottom right is entrance to mine chamber. Such scarps (also bridges) at impassable spots were previously prepared for blowing up in case of war zavijanje z očmi

Yesterday's hop to Kup from Podbrdo. Trail follows GM4O route and is well traceable. On top new wooden cross recently erected by locals from Bašga Valley. Nice viewpoint nasmeh

Trail hiked today, albeit in slightly different "order". Petrovo Brdo - Vrh Bače - Slatnik - Lajnar - Kup. All paths well marked, very interesting the one to Kup summit.

We parked at the end of the road, but there were three motorhomes in the morning that take up quite a lot of space. On return it was practically empty. Probably also because the hut is closed. nasmeh

It's worth choosing a nice sunny day even for a short trip. Especially if it's the first time and you experience it in winter attire. In that case you'll surely return there. And that's exactly what we experienced yesterday! How beautiful were the views of Baška grapa and the peaks above it, i.e. Črno prst, Matajurski vrh, Koblo, the entire chain of peaks above Sorisko planina. Definitely much nicer than the previous visit! For variety on the tour, we chose a circular path, of course by chance nasmeh
