La Sportiva Nepal Evo - "snowballs"?

I know it's a good winter technical boot. Yesterday I saw this though. Snowballs form regardless of wet or dry snow, after a few steps. Even more annoying under crampons. Something's not right here. Can someone who has these boots or knows them comment? Thanks. Best, Petr

I'd take them back the same instant, or send them pictures...jezen pointless to smear a new boot with various spells if it doesn't work properly!jezen

I agree with the geologist, complaints! velik nasmeh

I have LS Nepal Extreme myself, no such problems. For crampons buy anti-balling rubber (Grivel's latest rubber works perfectly), shoes can be smeared or sprayed.

I think the shoes are all fine. Judging by the pictures I'm sure the problem is just snow. velik nasmeh
I also have La Sportiva winter boots and they serve me well. Balls have formed on all brands of shoes and crampons (with rubber or without) I've worn so far if it was that "annoying" snow. Then you just have to help with ice axe or something else.
Best regards from under the beautiful Golts, Janez.

I too think that the problem isn't in the boot but in the snow structure. I have the same boots and sometimes snowballs form. And one more thing, the rubber against snow buildup under crampons isn't almighty. You just shake it off with the ice axe...mežikanje

Looks like a really good thing, genius solution so no more snowballs. If something similar in the boot sole too, then perfect.velik nasmeh

Still I think it's not just the snow. We were four, two with LS boots, but only my friend with snowballs. The other three no problem. And she says it happens in every snow. I already smeared with grease but it doesn't help.
