As part of a trip to Mont Blanc (see the post in the topic about this mountain) my partner and I climbed the well-known and popular peak La Tournette on my 40th birthday, which rises like a mighty guard over the attractive Lake Annecy and the city of the same name, the capital of Haute-Savoie, where we were waiting for the passage of a cold front. The path to the summit, which rises like a small rock peg above the extensive massif, is secured in places and due to its extreme popularity very slippery, but relatively undemanding. The summit offers exceptional views of Lake Annecy and the surrounding areas, and with normal visibility also of the Mont Blanc massif, which we were deprived of that day. According to the criteria of this portal, the path can be classified as a demanding secured path, and on it, among numerous hikers of various mountaineering knowledge and equipment, we encountered a multitude of ibexes, which brought back feelings from the western Julian Alps. From the starting point to the summit there is a good 1100 m of elevation, which can be covered in less than three hours.
