Yesterday morning 19.07 we ran into a complete roadblock towards Sella Nevea at Rabeljsko Lake. Maybe someone knows how long the road will be closed? I can't find anything on Italian road condition websites about the closure.

I also saw the closure yesterday, I think the landslide became active again at the spot where it came down last year. Will monitor and report on the closure.

We were on this road on Wednesday with motorcycles.
We drove past two closed road signs, something was written in Italian, but the road was normally passable

Here's from first hand. Road closed right at the lake. Passable only by bike. They're repairing it and according to the financiers from the saddle it'll be open again on Saturday.

I'm also curious about the road past Rabeljsko Lake.. namely last Saturday I also had to turn back towards Mangart unfortunately.... Somewhere I spotted in this forum that the road should be open this Saturday 28.7.... How reliable is this info so I don't do another 150 km for nothing??? Thanks ...

Thanks pikica1 ..... Otherwise there's also a variant for all those coming from the coastal side (Gorizia and Ljubljana) to cross Učja border and continue north so they reach Sella Nevea from the other side....(see map)

Through Učja it drags on quite a bit. If going from Gorizia end, it's definitely more sensible to go straight over there and then speed up the highway to Carnia/Tolmezzo exit and then via Resia Valley to Nevea.
