Yesterday we explored a bit around Lake Cerknica. For more we'll have to go once more to this corner of Slovenia.

Here we haven't yet sensed the size of Cerkniško jezero.

With my better half we cycled a bit on the path Dolenje Jezero - Otok - Gorenje Jezero - Goričice - Lipsenj - Žerovnica - Grahovo - Martinjak - Dolenje Jezero.

Along Ločanka's path, beauties of Lake Cerknica surroundings, Slivnica bathed in sun, Javorniki slightly whitened, we saw nicely to Triglav and Kanjavec. We continued the path along the lake towards Laze and further to Nova vas, Bloke and Bloško jezero... and to Sveti Gregor, from where we see the entire Kamnik Alps, and also to the Julian ones. Today too we saw many hiking paths from Krpanova, Slovenska pisateljska pot and part of Velikolaška cultural path, which leads from Velike Lašče, over Sv. Rok to Retij (Levstik), Dvorska vas, Mala and Velika Slevica, to Podsmreka (Stritar), Rašica (Trubar), the hike is every year second Sunday in June on Trubar's birthday...

A good year has passed and we repeated the trip Lake Cerknica - Laze - Bloško jezero - Mala Slevica - Hrastinjaki.... One can't believe it, at the beginning of March we experienced a beautiful winter fairy tale on Slivnica, end of March everything completely dry, spring-like. How nature is really something unique, we just have to see it. By Lake Cerknica paradise, peace, space for rest and enjoyment. People wonderful, I just can't help stopping for a moment in the village Laze by the lake. Warmth among people, they live in a completely different world, how hardworking... The path through Notranjska is a pleasure, pines, Snežnik peeks out snow-covered and soon we're at Bloško jezero. Friend is first time, enjoys our gems, the walk, sunbathing, snack, people friendly and enjoy nature. I buy some goodies at Kropc in Mala Slevica, friends say next time bring more of their goodies. A bit of nostalgia on the walk through Hrastinjaki. Someday we'll go again on the Velikolaška cultural path and visit Levstik's, Stritar's and Trubar's homesteads, just like every year...

After almost 2 years we returned with the better half and this time cycled the Cycling path Jezerko. Since our last visit there is a lot new, the parking lot at the starting point was full of cyclists, in Rakov Škocjan the streambed is drier, but the hotel is open for refreshment. jezik
