Lavrič Trail

By chance I spotted the Lavrič Trail on a digital map, which I hadn't known about before. That's the charm of modern technology too, when with a few clicks you get to new ideas nasmeh. We quickly decided to visit this circular trail, especially since the starting point is close to our home.

We drove to Šentvid pri Stični, where there are quite a few parking spots available. We chose the one at Mercator, because it's in the village center and right by the trail. The first markers were right around the corner too. They are green for the Lavrič Trail and there are plenty of them further along. Besides them there are also lots of dedicated signs that reliably guide you along the entire route. The only concern was just before Lectov Castle, where the trail is freshly plowed and accordingly muddy. Elsewhere there were no doubts.

We walked counterclockwise, so we saved the Lavričeva Hut for the end. The trail leads through fields and meadows, along forest paths and asphalt roads, through numerous settlements and remote areas. Mostly it's gentle, but there are also steep sections. A bit of everything, so it's never boring velik nasmeh. For the icing on the cake we also visited the Lavričeva Hut, which is a popular goal for many hikers. Then only the return to the starting point followed and the loop was closed. More in the photo-story …
