Today I went to visit Fužinske planine. The path started at Pl. Blato - Pl. v Lazu - Laz Pass. First I thought to climb to Ograde, but due to conditions, gave up. Namely, new snow is not bonded to the base (small slabs), so the step often reaches soaked grass, which doesn't give support. Snow rolled into the valley and made real round balls for snowman. I went first to see the mountain pasture, then along the only tracks, to the saddle. But even those are few below it, ran out. Sinking started more and more, so I used some found chamois paths. This animal is a real snow pathfinder! It chose wind-blown areas, with less snow, and protruding rocks. Saves energy and consequently food. Well, when I reached the saddle, I thought to descend to the lake and around, through Krstenica. Went again along chamois track, but it didn't work out. At the place where I sank to my waist, chamois turned into cliffs behind the edge. Yeah, there I can't go... To the lake, I could only roll like a snowman. Back the same path, of course. On the pasture, we sunbathed and ate, together with weekend house tenants. You can sleep in stone house, with 16 beds, electricity, stove, full comfort - host Mitja tel. 041/607064. They said it thundered at night, avalanches moving. Let me say, the terrain is not yet suitable for harder ascents (crampons useless). From the saddle I saw tracks to Jezerski Stog, which lead only to the shoulder before summit. Today two turned back below. In shade snow is medium frozen. At 1700m, 20cm, at top 60cm.
