Nice that you chose those remote peaks above Lepena. Start from Drežniške Ravne and past pl. Predolina to pl. Golobar. Above the monument the path starts that winds through forest and among bushes, no major difficulties. On a short saddle the view to Lipnik opens. Little descent and among boulders to Lipnik summit. After rest I descend and climb to Srednja špica, summit part collapsed. Again descend already to remote saddle and continue on narrow, airy ridge to Hudi vrh. Descend a bit further on steep grasses back past pl. Golobar all the way to Drežniške Ravne, recommend ascent from Bovec.

On Saturday we explored these areas again. We got the idea from the old PZS forum. It led us to Lepena on Saturday morning. We parked at the gorges and walked to the bridge over Lepenica. On the other side we found the start of the mule track to Kozji breg, which once bore the name Bulfon Weg. Down below we struggled a bit, but found the start and followed it successfully quite high, until fresh "marks" on trees misled us and took us higher to the ridge below Vršiče. Well, there too we caught the path that brought us back to the mentioned mule track. Beyond Kozji breg we named the highest peak we found in the middle of the forest, where there was no prominent summit. From there we returned to the mule track, which took us past the turn-off to Lipnik and the large cross to Golobar. We continued to the saddle Čez Utro and then to the other side along the Path of Peace, but only to the bend where the path to Dolič valley branches off. There at the remains of the chapel we struggled a bit, but found the path that led us through a picturesque and lonely valley. We descended to the other side, over Hudi plaz and then along the Path of Peace to Log v Lepeni. For the finale, some road awaited us. Long tour in very solitary areas, in the whole day we met three people above Planina Golobar. Mostly walking on remains of military mule tracks and paths, but with some sense of orientation it works. The path between Planina Predolina (Zaprikraj) and Planina Golobar is impassable due to 15m of path washed away, safe bypass not possible.

On Sunday over Javoršček and then Srednja špica - Lipnik - Hudi vrh and descent towards Golobar.
Somewhat wild in places. But top experience for off-trail lovers.
In one part snow still dictated the route choice a bit.

Good job Matej, that you went alone into those pathless ends. As far as I remember Marijan had the whole path drawn, but we still missed one turn-off..

I believe it, it can happen quickly. I went more by feel. Well, and every now and then checked the compass and the track of the walked path. From the pre-drawn I really had nothing.

13.08.2025. It was in plan for a long time. From Kal Koritnica to Srednja špica (1819 m). We continue along ridge over Kote 1804m and Hudega vrha 1808 m all to Vršiči, where we descend to start. To junction for Lipnik known path. We checked summit of Srednja špica. Caverns still preserved. We took time. For path ahead no navigation. Only descriptions. Descent from Vršiči quite demanding. Due to high grasses and holes. Probably spent more time searching passages. Quickly find yourself before some precipice. Somewhere narrow passages. Nice to see down to Lepena. Saw two roe deer. They hurried to safety. Then we watched flight of bearded vultures. Interestingly one came low and flapped over Marijan's head. Haven't seen such thing. It flew - glided high somewhere. When found path in forest, really happy. And statistics. Walked 15.7 km. Made 1555 elevation gain. Walked 12 hours 20 min. Lunch from 13:38 to 14:25. (Bojan will be fine nasmeh
