Lopatnik from Drežniške Ravne

Yesterday I initially intended to go to Krasji vrh, but instead at the starting point above Drežniške Ravne I turned right and climbed along a pleasant path through the forest, later directly across the pasture, to the Zapleč pasture. From there I followed the signs to Vrata.

An odyssey similar to that Planina Kuhinja-Krn took me to the saddle between Krnčica and Lopatnik, where a herd of sheep greeted me. I took a few more steps to the interesting Lopatnik and enjoyed the magnificent views for quite some time.
The peace was disturbed by two Italians who were chasing the sheep and looking for treasures from WWI. After their departure boundless peace reigned again, so it was quite hard for me to leave this mountaineering paradise.

The descent to Vrata and return to the starting point along the same path followed.

Yesterday the same path as two months ago. Autumn colors were lit by the warm sun, which warmed almost to the top. At the top fog and cold, so no views. Snow just a sample on the saddle between Krnčica and Lopatnik.
Return to the valley at sunset and under the moon, which shone well all the way to the starting point.

Today to Lopatnik from Drežniške Ravne. Path to Vrata saddle without special features, snow just a sample. At Vrata saddle first aimed for Krnčica, but halfway due to winter conditions (blown snow and ice) for safety reasons turned back and climbed to Lopatnik. Descended along the ridge to Vrata saddle then same path back to Zapleč pasture and to valley.

I like the name "Lopatnik"coolnasmeh, so I set off early today to this peak.
Started from Drežniške Ravne to pastures Zapleč and Zaprikraj, then mule track to Lopantik and further to Krnčica.
Weather almost summer, nice path and quite a few hikers and chatted a bit with some. In short: nicenasmeh

From the Zapleč pasture to where the mule track turns to Krnčica, crampons were not needed, from there hard, partly icy. Wind occasionally blew to the SW side too, otherwise windier from the north side and on the ridge, and lower over the pastures.
