Macesnovec Ridge

Last Saturday Kamniški Dedec, yesterday from Pastirce to Macesnovec ridge and across to gully behind Vrati. Then up the gully, scrambling down due to huge amount of brushwood velik nasmeh , to Macesnovec ridge. Along the ridge to Sukalnik and then marked towards Planjava. Descent to Repov kot. Pictures follow. Plan was ascent up gully to notch below Stanič, ascent to Stanič and then ridge traverse to Kamniški Dedec. But in the morning it looked foggy there. And I chose this other variant.

Pictures are a super guide, could add some description for those who also go down such pathless areas and unmarked paths.
And yeah, you don't hike alone, seems a bit dangerous to get "stuck" somewhere.

Yes, mostly I go alone. Anyway, when climbing up I don't force anywhere. If I think I couldn't climb back, I rather find another path.

On Saturday over Greben Macesnovca, rated III / I-II. SW wall of Planjava, 2394m in KSA.
Easier scrambling - mostly I-II good line on the ridge itself. Only entry to it is a bit trickier - orientationally, not to go too deep into brushwood.
As always, first time or with someone I take rope. For experienced pathless hikers no need, but never hurts.
We chose approach from Repov kot, which at ~1200m branches left to Macesnovec (exit at Pastrice) or entry variant for Macesnovec ridge or Grapa za Vrati: Link to description GRAPA ZA VRATI

Already at the end of the traverse towards, where we turn left for Macesnovec. From here only upwards.3

Some time along the path through the larch grove then before the transverse entry into the copse where the path levels out we turn right steeply uphill to this saddle and less visible path.7
Upwards the first jump that brings us into the scree.8
Then after about 10 m of pure scree we reach the logged area.9
So you can pass normally.10
