Yesterday we Četrkovci - retirees section PD Škofja Loka wandered in Drava Valley - more precisely in Makol Hills. From Makole we went along Forma Viva path through village Varoš to village Dežno pri Makolah to Dvoršak gallery. Our guides already found hidden unmarked paths through these hillocks, meadows and forest on the reconnaissance, so we didn't walk the whole path on asphalt. Overall asphalt can't be avoided. Along the road are sculptures by various artists from different countries. Unique experience is Dvoršak gallery, where our renowned artist of iron sculptures exhibits his works. Then we went on circular path to Štatenberg mansion. After paying entrance fee the curator showed us castle interior. He took us through numerous rooms and revealed charm of life of former castle owners. This must be seen live. We will return to this part of Slovenia, which offers plenty of natural heritage, cultural heritage and educational paths and points from Šoštarca waterfall, Monsperk castle ruins to Sesrško lake educational path.
