Finally we got a nice day and we had to make the most of it, especially since it was also the last day of holidays. The webcam promised a wonderful day on Velika Planina in the morning. But we dawdled a bit too much and around 13 o'clock just before Mala Planina fog caught us, and the wind was very strong too, so we gave up continuing to Velika Planina and Gradišče. All praise to the keeper of Jarški dom on Mala Planina for tasty home-made food and pleasant atmosphere in the hut despite Sunday crowds. It was a nice day...

Yeah, it was really a wonderful day... you could tell from the number of people at the "top" both on Mala Planina and Velika Planina

This afternoon a relaxing walk to Mala Planina and a bit further.... wonderful blooming spring has arrived up there too... it was nice, even though instead of sun and blue sky we had clouds and wind... nasmeh

On the opposite side of the inn across the road there is a parking space for a couple of cars. You can park there.

BrankaM, if by chance there is no space opposite the inn as Legenda wrote then there is also ok parking for cca.3 cars 2 turns before the inn (from Kamnik direction), often there are quite a few cars also right on the edge of the macadam road that turns towards Velika planina. We usually just find some space most often really by the road already before the inn (that means cca. 5min more walking).

For 40 years I've been going to Velika planina and around there, but never experienced such crowds of people and cars as yesterday. The day in the valley was sunny and nice, on the pasture it was very windy and quite unpleasant due to the cold wind, especially if you wanted to photograph those spring crocus beauties, crowds endless... So my husband and I decided to turn back towards home already at Mala planina. Well, some photos were made anyway. velik nasmeh

Finally moved from one municipality to another and chose Mala planina for the first walk in the mid-mountains. Path without peculiarities, on the pasture the flowers of true crocus are slowly fading. A bit late for viewing full meadows, but blooming are spring gentian and Clusius's gentian and Wulfen's pink. More at: https://www.gore-ljudje.net/novosti/153302/
