In winter I tackle easier mid-mountain without rocky parts. I decide to go to a little-known peak on the left side of Jezersko, which falls under the Karavanke. Turn left at Jezersko towards the partisan hospital Krtina. Due to good road conditions I drove right to the hospital. From there along a nice forest road to the Stanič hunting hut. From the hunting hut even a tractor went with chains. In a good hour from the car I came to the ruins of the guard post. I don't know when it was abandoned and left to decay; it looks like it was solidly built and even had electricity. Among the ruins solid snow that sank to the knees in places. On the path ski tracks were visible, partially covered by snow, but they were an excellent guide since the path is not marked. I came to border signs and border stones marking the border between Austria and Slovenia. At the top a small clearing with a fallen tree. I will surely do this path in the dry season and extend it to Plešivec, which was nicely visible.
