Yesterday things didn't go according to plan, however, as they say, you don't meet girls on purpose either.
At half past seven I park in front of the Bavšica educational center, where friendly course participants give me a cup of tea and I slowly head towards Planina Bukovec. The path there is marked and easy to follow, which doesn't apply to the continuation towards Vrh Osojnika 1975. Right above the hut I miss the poorly visible junction and wander along the ridge, without the possibility to descend to Bukovška korita. So unplanned, I revisit Veliki Jelenk and Zagorelec, and the western summit of Šmihelovec, where I haven't stood yet. These are interesting, unmarked peaks that are little visited. In the vicinity, Bavški Grintavec reigns supreme. There is permanent water at Planina Bukovec, and in the Korita it's plentiful in early summer too.
