No snow from Loška Koritnica to the saddle below Mali Vrh, a small amount in the gully under Rdeča Skala right below the summit but access without problem.

04.09.2025. Mali vrh 1992m. Curiosity is sometimes useful. We didn't think we'd be in Loška Koritnica for the third time in a row. Locals told us about the path to this summit. But what it really looks like we saw along the way. It's quite traceable. Somewhere about a third of the path there's fallen trees. In tall grass the path disappears. There we missed a bit and went too far around. But no big deal. Then under red rock, it's traceable. And interesting. We met a viper sunning itself carefree. It wasn't scared at all. Below the summit there was a large group of people who were apparently shooting a film. At least that's what they said. Mangart road and hut clearly visible, the hut is closed. Engine noise was disturbing. Quite a lot of traffic for Thursday. It was warm. Descent along the ascent path without traceability issues. Really nice tour on a new path we hadn't heard of before.

Darinka, I walked here in July when curiosity was nagging me where the very well trodden path leads smile I didn't have problems in the grass either, I followed the path without issues or there were logical passages. When it levels out, at the pole, I turned back, that was enough. Did you go past that pole? Probably there used to be direction signs on it ... And luckily with Blue I didn't meet any local woman, only deer and chamois smile

Yes, up to the pole the path was traceable. Beyond the pole it wasn't visible anymore. Too bad you didn't continue. Further the path is beautiful.

Yeah, I had enough, no condition zavijanje z očmi Yeah, me too, didn't see path ahead or didn't know where to go next, which direction. How much from pole to Mali vrh? Timewise?

From pole on steep ascent to saddle. There beautiful views. Then to summit path well traceable and not far. About half path I'd say.

I was wandering here in July. From parking in Loška Koritnica around 8am I started, around half 11 I was at pole. No, grasses then not wet anymore but quite warm day.

Also when we two went grasses wet only there lower under lovsko koča. Where shady. Further there in steep dry. Remember it was warm. Around seven usually go from start.
