Saturday, 29.5.2021 (bike trip)
Some time ago I cycled around Lake Cerknica and then climbed Slivnica too, from where I had a nice view of the world below me. Outing ideas flashed one after another, both those where you go on foot and those where you ride a bike. Menišija is such a place where you can do both and even more on top.

If the weather prospects had been less unreliable, I would have extended the trip; there were plenty of options in length, width, and height, but I decided just to do some nature viewing and return for something longer sometime in the near future. Then I'll find some good inn along the way too and perhaps treat myself to swimming after the outing, if summer isn't as sad as spring was weather-wise.
I did the bike trip as described in one of the above links; because I was scatterbrained and hurried too much at the start, I "missed" some sights. Additional reason to return soon. The trip is very pleasant, most of it goes through the forest, where even in summer heat it can't get too hot, if at all, as there's a stream running along the road where you can refresh yourself. Mushroom pickers would very likely get their share too; I didn't think of mushrooming myself due to the dampness and cold in the previous days.
