On the night Saturday/Sunday (1st to 2nd October) I slept in the shared bunks (room 210) at Dom na Kredarici. In the morning my safety harness (STUBAI, part with carabiners, in a black bag) was no longer there, which I had left on the bench in the hallway. I think someone took it by mistake, as I firmly believe theft of safety gear in the mountains is impossible. I politely ask for any information about this. Thanks, PohodnikX

PohodnikX, don't kid yourself. Given that more and more people who think they're mountaineers but aren't go to the mountains (especially crowded spots like Kredarica), with all sorts of habits, cultures and levels of rudeness, it's most likely it was deliberately taken. Unfortunately, the idea that nothing gets stolen in the mountains has become just a myth here. When I started traveling Europe with Interrail in my student days, I was also pumped up with the myth that nothing gets stolen in Youth Hostels. Well, on my first trip, my entire outfit disappeared overnight in Salzburg. Luckily I had backups. Since then I've been super careful, never leaving anything unattended, locking everything possible, even sleeping with my backpack on the bed if necessary, some might have laughed at me quietly, but nothing has disappeared since.

I had a similar experience at Okrešelj in winter. I left my poles outside overnight (where everyone supposedly does), but in the morning there were the same model instead of mine, just much more worn out and battered...since then I never leave anything further than arm's reach.
