Last weekend as part of SPP I walked the route Ribniška koča - Grmovškov dom. At Ribniška koča there are a bunch of different stamps available, but no SPP stamp! Since I'm just getting to know SPP, I'm interested if PZS complicates in such cases if a regular hut/other checkpoint stamp is imprinted in the booklet where the hut name is clearly visible. Some hikes will be quite far from home, checking for possible similar situations at the other end of Slovenia. I know the instructions say a photo counts, but I'd still like to fill the space with a stamp.

Hello. In principle all stamps that name that hut are valid. Your photo under the hut board also counts. But you must pay extreme attention to the problem that PZS brewed for the 60th anniversary of SPP. They delivered a memorial stamp to all huts for this anniversary. The stamp is identical to the stamps of mountain posts, except it has 60th anniversary written without mentioning the hut. As such it is invalid for SPP booklet. Nice path to you.
